F3 Mainland Tour – 1st Global Study Week 2024
During our school’s first Global Study Week, our Form 3 students embarked on three exciting educational tours to Shanghai, Hunan, and Hubei. These trips were designed to provide students with diverse learning experiences, deepening their understanding of the mainland’s history, culture, technology, and economic development. Through these immersive journeys, students enhanced their national identity and appreciation for the rich heritage and advancements of our country.
In Shanghai, students explored the city’s blend of modernity and tradition, visiting landmarks such as the Bund and the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. The trip to Hunan offered insights into the region’s historical significance and natural beauty, including a visit to the birthplace of Mao Zedong and the stunning Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Meanwhile, the tour of Hubei focused on the province’s pivotal role in China’s history and its rapid technological progress, with stops at the Hubei Provincial Museum and the Three Gorges Dam.
These tours aimed to broaden students’ horizons, fostering a deeper connection to their national identity and a greater appreciation for the diverse facets of our nation’s development.
