Kyoto 2023
Whenever there is a long vacation, or even just two days at weekend, we would hear our friends traveling to Japan. The most popular cities in Japan are Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe. This History excursion tour allowed students to experience learning outside classroom, and to explore a country beyond simply “eating, playing and shopping”.
During the excursion trip which lasted for five days and four nights, students visited a variety of attractions, including The Osaka Museum of Housing and Living to learn more about the history of Osaka, and Uji City to experience the joy of matcha tea culture. Students also visited a number of famous cultural heritage sites, such as the Byodoin Temple, Himeji Castle and Fushimi Inari Shrine, which students found amazing and inspiring. Additionally, the importance of cultural heritage preservation is clearly demonstrated in Japan.
What is also worth mentioning is the kimono wearing experience, in which all teachers and students dressed up in full kimono and marched around the city to experience the history and culture of Japan in depth. Furthermore, by visiting the Shinsaibashi , the Dotonbori River and other sightseeing spots, students were able to experience the civic consciousness and local customs of Japan.
