Exploring Guangzhou: A Memorable CS Study Trip
Our recent CS study trip to Guangzhou was a fascinating journey through innovation, history, and culture. Here’s a snapshot of the amazing places we visited, in the order of our itinerary.
We began at the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou, where we were amazed by the cutting-edge technology powering scientific breakthroughs. Next, we stepped back in time at the Museum of the Nanyue King, marveling at the ancient tomb and its treasures, like jade and gold artifacts, dating back over 2,000 years.
Our journey continued at the Guangdong Science Center, where interactive exhibits and its futuristic design sparked our curiosity about science and discovery. Then, at the Guangdong Museum, we explored the rich history and culture of the region through its impressive collections of art and artifacts.
The Chen Clan Ancestral Hall was a highlight, with its stunning Lingnan-style architecture and intricate carvings showcasing traditional craftsmanship. We then visited Yongqing Fang, a charming blend of historic buildings and modern vibes, complete with trendy cafes and a lively atmosphere.
Finally, we concluded our trip with a visit to Guangzhou Experimental Secondary School, where we had the chance to interact with local students, exchange ideas, and learn about their educational environment. This added a meaningful connection to our journey, bridging cultures and perspectives.
