The 2024-2025 Christian Fellowship Taipei Exchange Service Tour was a transformative journey of service and learning, fostering compassion and a deeper sense of community among our students.
Day 1: Faith and Fellowship
The tour began with a meaningful day at a local church, where students taught English, played games, enjoyed dinner, and read the Bible with local students. This day of fellowship strengthened bonds and nurtured a sense of shared faith.
Day 2: Exploring Food Security
Students visited a food bank called 食愛銀行, learning about its innovative points-based system that respects recipients’ dignity by allowing them to choose their monthly necessities. They also helped pack food for distribution, gaining valuable insights into supporting those in need.
Day 3: Serving the Homeless
Students spent Day 3 understanding the challenges faced by the homeless in Taipei. They explored the differences between homelessness in Hong Kong and Taipei, distributed essential supplies, and engaged in heartfelt conversations with individuals, fostering empathy and awareness.
Each day carried a unique theme, inspiring students to serve with empathy, humility, and purpose. The tour concluded with a day of rest and reflection, leaving students with lasting lessons on the true spirit of giving and the joy of serving others.
