Dear Parents and Students,

Today, I take over the post of Principal of Po Leung Kuk Centenary Li Shiu Chung Memorial College, PLKC, with a sense of gratitude. With the school’s solid foundation and outstanding achievements, I look forward to working with all the stakeholders of the school community, including colleagues, parents, alumni, Po Leung Kuk and all those who care about the development of the school for the sake of students’ learning and growth.

First of all, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ting Wing-hing, Principal Emeritus, for his help in the transition of the principalship over the past month, which has enabled me to understand the development of the school and communicate closely and efficiently with the team. Under Mr. Ting’s leadership for over two decades, PLKC and its students have achieved great excellence in various aspects. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Principal Mr. Ting for his dedication over the years, and I hope that he will take a good rest after his heavy workload and continue to participate in different activities at the school in the future. On behalf of all school teachers and students, I wish Principal Mr. Ting good health and success in all his endeavours.

With the advancement of technology and society, education has to keep abreast of the times. With the rapid flow of information, young people face different challenges growing up. The school has always been helping students realize their potential and develop a strong body, thus realizing the educational spirit of the motto of Po Leung Kuk School, “Love, Respect, Diligence and Sincerity”. The school’s development plan for the next three years focuses on nurturing students:

1. To foster lifelong learners equipped with effective learning skills and broad horizons;
2. To nurture students’ positive values and promote healthy lifestyles.

In conclusion, I would like to thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential to the success of our students. We are committed to working closely with you to provide a caring and effective school that meets your child’s unique needs and ensures that every child is given the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
